A 316 SS backing ring is a drilled, flat collar which is used to bolt a flange to another flange. The Backing Ring Flange made from various plastic or metallic material, but dimensions of the drilling of the Backing ring, unless a custom made one, should conform to set flange tables. Backing ring flanges are used to fit PE100 Stub Flange, These backing rings flange are available in Table D, Table E, AS4087 and ANSI flange pattern, in both Heavily Galvanised and SS 316 materials. Custom made SS 316 Backing Rings Flange can also be supplied to suit any flange pattern.
SS 316 Backing Rings are a slip-on fitting that are used in conjunction with stub end flanges as a means to connect lengths of pipe to other mating flanges. A Stainless Steel 316 backing ring flange is a metal ring used inside a butt-welded joint to reinforce the joint and to prevent weld metal from entering the pipe at the joint.
